Wim Hof method instructor Profile
I was attracted to the Wim Hof Method when I saw Wim Hof’s life in a Youtube video and I was intrigued enough to order Wim’s book, ‘The Wim Hof Method’.
That led me to the free online course from the WHM website, progressed to the online Fundamental workshop and then booked myself into an ‘in-person’ Fundamentals workshop. The energy that is created from the people learning the Wim Hof Method in a workshop is Amazing. There and then, I decided to become a Wim Hof Method Instructor, so I could let more people experience the same energy and benefits I experienced as a participant to a Fundamentals workshop.
I had studied and practiced in great depth the power of the mind and have great examples of what can be achieved when the right mindset is met by unwavering commitment and discipline. Wim and his world records are a great example of that, as well as what ‘ordinary’ people like me and you have achieved utilising the method and have been recorded in the different studies mentioned in the WHM website
When I found the Wim Hof method, I discovered that anything I had done up to that point, i.e. the cold exposure and the mindset ‘clicked together’ with the breathing.
I qualified as a Wim Hof Method Instructor within a year of my face-to-face Fundamentals workshop….and as they …the rest is history…
The benefits I received from the method and help other people do the same, are:
I have a bad back (after a rescue diving training accident many years ago, I was left with a worn disc in my back). Now, I feel no pain from it any more and have no mobility issues. I help other people that have chronic pain do the same. As I am also a teacher Hypnotherapist, I also help people overcome Psychosomatic pain as well.
I help men overcome erection issues, as I experienced the same in the past due to stress and anxiety and where doctors had no answers except drugs, the WHM method, the breathing and the cold, became my medicine.
I increased my concentration, my mood has changed for the better and I feel that I have a lot more energy (‘We are high on our own supply’, as we say in the WHM ‘lingo’, as we utilise the natural body substances to enhance our physical and mental well-being).
In 2018 I overcame H1N1 virus within a day and in 2022 I overcame Covid and High temperature utilising breathing. We now have research from Harvard Medical School that backs up this claim as well!
It was surreal witnessing my body temperature / oximeter / pulse in real time, as my temperature of 38.5 C was coming down to 36.7 through breathing within minutes.
I haven’t taken medicine, not even Paracetamol, since 2015, for the past 7 years, and I am the fittest and healthiest I have ever been (at 57 years young)!
In 2022, my first year as a Wim Hof Instructor, I saw great change in my body, stamina, vitality and mental health. I completed my first Marathon in 4 hrs and 18 min, aged 57. My Garmin watch (and the gym machine) showing my biological age 15+ younger than the year I was brought to this earth and my current resting heart rate is 53.
I am also a Private Pilot and my yearly medicals have impressed my Aviation Doctor so much, that he wanted to find out more about the WHM method.
